Female External Genital Reshaping - Labioplasty
Female external genital reshaping is a procedure that women are choosing to take when they are unhappy with the appearance of their labia and aim towards correcting an asymmetrical aesthetic in favour of a "butterfly" aesthetic. The procedure is also the preference of those who feel discomfort that is stimulated by large or thick labia. Preparation

Patients are required to stop taking medication which alters blood viscosity; including aspirin. In preparation of surgery it is also highly recommended that patients avoid smoking, to provide a quicker recovery.
After the Operation
Patients should not return to work until at least a week after the operation, providing excess time if they still do not feel ready. - Four to six weeks without sexual activity

- One week before returning to work
- Consumption should be reserved to liquids until twenty four hours after the operation.
For the large majority of adults who under go female external genital reshaping the results will be a success with no unforeseen consequences. Despite this, the capacity for risks and complications remain, as is the case for almost all surgical procedures.
