In the female patient following massive weight loss the mons pubis can be come enlarged and ptotic (sagging).

On occasion Liposuction and elevation of the mons pubis is required however in many cases a mons reduction using liposuction and inverted T incision is necessary to reduce both the bulk and sagginess of the tissues.

The scars can normally be hidden in the pubic hair line and most patients greatly benefit from this surgery. There will however be some numbness and swelling around the vulva post operatively and the numbness may be permanent in nature,
